Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LuzLab LLC ("MC Servers", "we", "us", or "our"), operator of https://mc-servers.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. By using the Site you agree to this Policy. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
You can browse the Site anonymously. We collect information when you register, submit a Listing, vote, bid in an auction, link Discord, make a payment, or contact us:

| Voting | The game username you enter (for Votifier delivery) and your IP address, used to validate votes and prevent double-voting. |
| Reviews | If you leave a review when voting: your star rating, any text you write, and the game username you voted with. Reviews are public – the username and review text are shown on the server's page and may appear in search results. Some reviews are held for moderation before they appear. We keep one review per username per server, and submitting again replaces the previous one. |
| Usage & device | IP address, browser/user-agent, pages viewed, and IP-copy clicks. This is used for rankings, sponsored-slot statistics, security, and analytics, and is filtered to exclude automated (bot) traffic. |
| Auctions & invoices | Your bids, and invoice records (amount, status, payment transaction ID, timestamps). |
| Discord | If you link Discord: your Discord user ID and username. |
| Communications | Messages you send us. Announcement emails are sent through our email provider, which records your unsubscribe choice on our behalf; we do not store a separate email-preference setting. |
Fraud prevention & vote integrity. When you vote, we also record technical signals about the request — your approximate location and network provider (ASN), browser and device characteristics (request headers and, via JavaScript, basic environment and interaction signals), and how the request was made — to detect and block automated (bot) voting and protect the integrity of our rankings. We rely on our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse, keep these records for a limited period, and use them only for security and anti-abuse purposes.
2. How We Use It
- operate the Site, your Account, and your Listings;
- rank servers, run auctions, and measure sponsored-slot performance (estimated joins and page views);
- process payments and deliver Sponsored Slots you purchase;
- publish player reviews of servers;
- display advertising on the Site and measure its performance;
- prevent voting fraud, abuse, and other manipulation of Site metrics;
- send transactional emails (invoices, account notices) and, if you don't opt out, occasional announcements;
- provide support and respond to your requests;
- maintain security and improve the Site.
3. Payment Information
Payments are handled by third-party processors, primarily PayPal (which also processes card payments). We do not receive or store your full card number or bank credentials. We store invoice records — the amount, status, payment transaction ID, and timestamps — so we can confirm payments, deliver placements, and handle reconciliation. Your payment is subject to the processor's own privacy policy.
4. Discord Information
Linking Discord is optional. If you link, we store your Discord user ID and username to add you to our Discord server, grant a role, and send auction notifications. We do not access your Discord messages or other servers. You can unlink at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored Discord ID and username and removes the granted role. Discord's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Analytics, Advertising & Traffic Measurement
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand Site traffic and improve the experience. These tools may collect usage and device information (such as pages viewed, approximate location, and browser type). We also compute our own page-view and IP-copy statistics for server owners, with automated bot traffic filtered out so the numbers reflect real visitors. Where consent is required (see Cookies), analytics runs only after you accept.
Advertising. The Site is supported by advertising. We work with NitroPay and its advertising partners, who may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized (interest-based) ads. These partners may collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view, and may combine it with information from other sites. We do not share your name, email address, or password with advertising partners. See Your US State Privacy Rights to opt out of personalized advertising.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Essential & functional cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms (set with the Secure and HttpOnly flags), plus small preference cookies that remember your cookie choice and your light or dark theme.
- Security cookies: set by Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the Site, to identify trusted traffic and block malicious requests.
- Analytics cookies: set by analytics tools such as Google Analytics to measure usage.
- Advertising cookies: set by our advertising partners to serve, cap, and measure ads, and to personalize the ads you see.
Your consent to analytics. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we show a cookie banner and do not set analytics cookies until you choose Accept. You can choose Reject to decline analytics; essential, functional, and security cookies stay on either way. Elsewhere, analytics cookies load by default. We remember your analytics choice for about six months. To change it, clear your browser cookies for the Site and the banner will appear again.
Your consent to advertising. Advertising consent is handled separately from the banner above, by our advertising partner NitroPay through its own IAB-registered consent tool. Visitors in regions where the GDPR applies are shown that tool and asked to make a choice before their data is used for advertising; if you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can review or change that choice at any time by reopening the consent settings (also linked in our footer), or by contacting us. Outside those regions the banner above covers analytics only and does not control advertising cookies – if you are in the United States, see Your US State Privacy Rights to opt out of personalized advertising.
You can also control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
7. How We Share Information
We never rent or sell your Account details such as your name, email address, or password. We share information with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed for them to perform their service — including PayPal (payments), Discord (account linking and notifications), our email provider(s) for sending mail, Cloudflare (security and delivery), analytics providers, and our advertising partners. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MC Servers, our users, or the public.
Advertising and “sale” or “sharing.” Some US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), define “sale” and “sharing” broadly enough to cover disclosing identifiers such as cookie IDs and IP addresses to advertising partners for personalized advertising. Under those definitions, our use of advertising cookies may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time. See Your US State Privacy Rights. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
8. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your Account is active and as needed to provide the Site. Invoice and transaction records may be retained longer where needed for accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. When you delete your Account, we remove your Listings and associated data; auction and invoice records may be retained in a limited form for the purposes above. Player reviews are tied to a Minecraft username rather than an Account, so reviews you left on other people's servers are not removed automatically – contact us if you want one taken down.
9. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & update — view and edit your Account details and Listings in Settings and My Servers.
- Delete — delete your Account (and its Listings and data) from Settings.
- Email — opt out of announcement emails via the unsubscribe link; transactional emails are still sent as needed.
- Discord — unlink your Discord account at any time in Settings.
- Requests — depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to make a request.
10. Your US State Privacy Rights
If you live in California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, or Virginia), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request a copy of it, to request correction or deletion, to opt out of personalized advertising and of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
Opt out of personalized advertising. Use the link below if it appears. The link is provided by our advertising partner, so it may not appear in every state, or if a browser extension blocks it. If you do not see it, contact us through our Contact page with the subject “Opt out of personalized advertising” and we will process your request. Your choice is saved on the device and browser you use, so you will need to opt out again on other devices or if you clear your cookies.
To make this or any other request, contact us through our Contact page and tell us which right you want to exercise. We verify requests against your Account details before acting on them, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We will respond within the time required by the applicable law.
The categories of personal information described in Information We Collect are the categories we collect, use, and disclose. We disclose identifiers such as cookie IDs and IP addresses to advertising partners for personalized advertising, as described in How We Share Information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your password and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.
12. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and we will provide a more prominent notice for material changes. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
