Description
The Anchor is a long-term Java Survival Server built on the idea that it feels good when you can come back to a place and still feel familiarity. The goal is to have a community where it's okay to dip out for a bit, as you'll be just as welcomed on your return. At its core, The Anchor is vanilla. No game-breaking mechanics, no constant resets, and no plugins that change the core features of Survival. Ranks are built around playtime and can't be maneuvered around with a broken money-making farm or over-the-top Player Shop. The economy is setup by the player-base, and temporarily pushed by a changing Admin Shop. We build around these players --or the "Anchors" of the server-- and rely on the feedback they give after spending the time they do on the SMP. There's a lot in store, and plans I intend on making this place much grander; but everything needs a start. So I hope that you'll find yourself wanting to fill a role like the Anchor, and start up what I believe can be something strong within the Minecraft Community.

The IP address for the Minecraft server The Anchor is play.theanchormc.net. Be sure to take note of the port as you will need that to also join. If there is no port listed, that means you can join with just the IP or using the default port which is 25565.
How can I play on the Minecraft server The Anchor?
Below are step by step instructions on how to play on the Minecraft server The Anchor.
- Make sure you have a Minecraft account and are logged in.
- Once logged in, make sure you have the desired Minecraft version selected to the left of the "Play" button
- After the Minecraft version is correct, press the "Play" button.
- Next, press the "Multiplayer" button from the menu.
- Next, press the "Add Server" button from the menu.
- Next, enter the desired server name in the "Server Name" field.
- Next, enter the servers ip and if needed the port which are play.theanchormc.net in the "Server Address" field.
- Once everything looks correct, press the "Done" button.
- From here, find the server you just added in the list, click it and press the "Join Server" button in the menu and enjoy!
What Minecraft version does The Anchor support?
The Anchor currently supports Minecraft version 1.21.11. Make sure to note though that many 1.21.11 servers tend to support a range of Minecraft versions, for example "1.8 to latest". However, it is recommended to join the Minecraft server using the version listed!
Where is The Anchor hosted?
The Anchor is currently being hosted in United States but can be joined from anywhere in the world if the connection is great. Be aware that joining a server located far away can increase the latency and could hinder from having smooth gameplay.
