Have you been looking for a friendly, non-pay-2-win and active community?  You have came to the right place....  Realms.Network is a newly founded network, monitored and maintained by a group of mature young adults.  Now, we offer Towny, Creative, Semi-Vanilla Survival, Skyblock and some minigames!  We pushes updates every weekend to ensure most, if not all, of your suggestions are implemented and develop new server and game modes for you!  A few new servers will be coming soon, including a full RPG server, prison and factions!  There will surely be one that suits you and your friend!
